Videoegg is currently seeking a Market Research Manager to join our New York office and lead our efforts to build a portfolio of positive research results to help drive sales. This is a high-profile role that will require relationship building with vendors, clients, agencies, and other market research professionals.
This role will report virtually to the Director of Network Analytics based in San Francisco, but will work day-to-day in Videoegg’s largest sales office which is managed by our VP of Sales. The Market Research Manager role is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful, high growth company acknowledged as an innovator in rich media advertising.
Responsibilities
• Manage relationships with third party research vendors (Dynamic Logic, ComScore, Nielsen, etc.)
o Stay current on vendor capabilities and pricing
o Participate in contract negotiations
• Build relationships with key research personnel at online agencies or within marketing organizations.
o Make recommendations based on strategic value of different studies
o Prioritize opportunities in light of budget constraints
o Advise on study design
• Represent Videoegg at industry events (e.g., IAB Research Committee, ARF)
• Manage active research projects
o Work with internal stakeholders – sales, delivery, account management, creative
o Manage external stakeholders – vendor, agency, advertiser
• Extract actionable learnings from completed studies
o Educate sales team
o Develop sales collateral and presentations
o Participate in RFPs
• Manage and monitor external measurement vendors (Nielsen, ComScore, Quantcast)
• Propose ideas for actionable primary research studies
• Support internal A/B testing for product evolution and client experiments
Requirements
• Deep insight into trends in online advertising market research; knowledge of vendor capabilities and impactful past research projects
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and juggle needs of global sales force
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to understand, interpret, and communicate data and information gathered as party of market research studies
• 5 plus years experience in online market research as either a vendor or buyer
• Outstanding coordination and communication skills, including the ability to effectively work across functional teams; plus a desire to drive revenue growth
• Self-starter with the interest and ability to work within a start up environment
